Airplane-design faculty

The faculty exists since the time of the foundation of the university in 1930. The modern academic and research laboratories as well as computer classes have been created in the last years. The university is really proud of the graduates of this faculty. General and chief designers of the aircraft engineering, heads of large companies and outstanding statesmen are among them.

There are eight departments of the faculty now: department of aerohydrodynamics, department of mechanics and strength of flying machines, airplane- and helicopter design department, department of flying machines manufacture technologies, department of electrical and electronic equipment, robotics department, department of materials and structure mechanics, department of computer-aided design systems.

Nowadays the graduates are being trained at the Airplane-design faculty on the following specialties:

Information design technologies;
Airplanes and helicopters;
Airplane- and helicopter-design technologies;
Quality, standartization and certification;
Non-conventional power sources;
Habitability safety.

The use of modern computer equipment, high qualification, close connections with manufacture enterprises (faculty has affiliate ot Antonov NTK ( Kyiv), 4 affiliates of graduation departments within the fields companies) - are the distinctive features of educational process.
